Naidu opposes pre-marital sex

HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu has strongly opposed pre-marital sex.

Stating that moral values in the country had taken a beating and incidents of pre-marital sex were on the rise, Mr. Naidu told reporters here on Tuesday that such a practice was completely wrong. "While the teenaged boys and girls indulged in such acts, it was only the girls, who were victims," he pointed out.

Mr. Naidu's comment came in the context of a short discussion on AIDS in the Assembly. Journalists were referring to remarks made by film star Khushboo about pre-marital sex, which created a storm in Tamil Nadu with several organisations protesting against theents.
