Hyderabad: Heated arguments reportedly ensued in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting convened by Assembly Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy on Tuesday between Congress and Telugu Desam Party leaders even as TRS MLAs walked out expressing anger at "not being given a chance to present their case." Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Minister for Legislative Affairs K. Rosaiah reported asked Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu to "maintain decorum of the House instead of disrupting the business frequently." The latter's deputy Y. Ramakrushnudu insisted that the "the mood of the House" be honoured and not merely the ruling party's stand. Upon this, Dr. Reddy reportedly replied: "The mood of the majority should be considered in conducting the business of the House." There was a wordy duel between Mr. Rosaiah and T. Devender Goud (TDP) on the propriety of the conduct of the Telugu Desam Party yesterday in casting aspersions on the Speaker. Meanwhile, the TRS delegation led by G.V ijaya Rama Rao stormed out of the meeting accusing the Speaker of being partial. An argument erupted between the Leader of the Opposition and the Leader of the House once again while fixing the agenda for conducting the business. Finally, the BAC agreed to hold the session tentatively till December 20. The Speaker assured the members that extension of the session beyond this date could be considered later.
