KOLLAM: The annual pilgrimage festival of the Pullichira Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception will be held from December 8 to December 19. At a press conference here on Monday parish priest of the church Lazar S. Pattakadavu said that festival will start with the traditional flag hoisting at 8 a.m. on Thursday. A religious harmony conference has been organised in connection with the festival at 6 p.m. on December 10. The conference will be inaugurated by Minister for Public Works M.K. Muneer at a function to be presided over by Kollam Mayor N. Padmalochanan. Another highlight on that day will be the maiden rice feeding for infants. The ritual will take place at the church at 1 p.m. The procession carrying the statue of the Blessed Virgin will be held at 6.15 p.m. on December 17. The main feast day will be observed on December 18. On that day Kollam Bishop Stanley Roman will preside over the pontifical high mass. The festival will conclude on December 19.
