CHANDIGARH: Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak will organise a two-day national seminar on "Plight of the girl child in North-West India" on December 15. The seminar is being organised by the Department of Sociology and Indian Council of Social Sciences and Research, North West Regional Centre, Chandigarh. According to an official note, it will sensitise the masses towards the existing gender bias in the society and strengthen the cause of saving the girl child.
