Presidential Award for `Madhura'

Eminent scholar had researched and translated number of Sanskrit volumes into Telugu

Rajahmundry:
Mr. Madhura Krishnamurthy Sastry, popular Sanskrit scholar has received the prestigious President of India Award for his 70 years of industrious research work on Sanskrit. Hailing from this town, he had translated the 1,100-year old commentary on `Surya Sidhantham' into Telugu with his own handwriting and the 500-year old `Aangika Bhaskaram' and `Daivagna Vilasam'. The Rastriya Sanskrit Research Centre, Tirupati is giving support to his works, publishing, and digitalising the same.
