Colleges `functioning without principals'

Chennai:
The Tamil Nadu Government Collegiate Teachers Association has urged the State government to fill up vacancies of principals in government colleges.
Though seven months had passed since the start of the academic year, due to inaction on the part of the authorities, the list of candidates for the posts was yet to be released, the Association said in a press release here on Tuesday.
Release list
Since several colleges were functioning without principals, the Ministry of Education should take immediate steps to release the list, the Association added.
