Call to upgrade nurses' skills

HYDERABAD: Director-General, Health Services, Railway Board D.K. Das has said that it is important to upgrade knowledge of nurses keeping in view the strides in medical sciences to make their services effective.

He inaugurated the first Indian Railway Nursing Officers' Conference (IRNOCON-2005) at South Central Railway (SCR) Headquarters Hospital here on Monday.

The conference was attended by assistant nursing officers of all railway hospitals in the country.

General Manager, SCR, D.N. Mathur said better hospital waste management is the need of the hour as he appreciated services of nurses.
