Aggrieved woman refuses to take son's body

HYDERABAD: A woman refused to take the body of his son who died while undergoing treatment for some disease on Tuesday. He was allegedly involved in several criminal cases.

Ashok, 34, of Kachiguda was arrested by the excise police two months ago on the charge of selling illicitly distilled liquor and was sent to Chanchalguda Central Prison. He fell sick on November 8 and was brought to Osmania General Hospital.

"Ashok had been committing offences since he was 12 years old. I tried to change him but in vain," the police quoted Gouramma as saying.

The police persuaded the woman to take the body but she declined.
