SFI activists take out march

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Activists of the Students Federation of India (SFI) on Tuesday took out a march to the offices of the University of Kerala and staged a dharna to protest against what they termed corruption in the recent appointments made by the university Syndicate to key posts. A press note issued by the SFI on Tuesday said universities in the State had become centres of corruption under the nominated Syndicates created by the UDF Government.

The Syndicates, whose terms of office are over, were making illegal appointments, the press note added.
