Thiruvananthapuram: The Karamana police have arrested Anil and his father, Ravindran, of Jagathy Road, Kalady, on charges of harassment of Anil's wife for dowry. According to the police, Anil had married Prema, resident of Kairali Nagar, Valiaveli. in 2000. At that time, 35 sovereigns of gold and Rs.7,500 had been given as dowry to Anil. On October 28 this year, she was hospitalised after she was physically assaulted at her husband's house, following which a police complaint was filed.
