Government intervention sought

Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Government should intervene to settle the ongoing student agitations against the alleged moves of the M.G. University against college union elections, the State committee of the All India Students' Federation (AISF) has said.

The managements of colleges and the university authorities are trying to scuttle the elections, a press note issued by the AISF said.

The present situation has come to such a pass owing to the obstinacy of the two sections in deciding to hold parliamentary form of elections to the college union.
