Obscene books seized, two arrested

NEW DELHI: Two persons allegedly involved in printing obscene literature have been arrested by the Central Delhi police.

According to the police, a decoy customer had been sent to strike a deal with the suspect at Gali Shahtar Ajmeri Gate in Kamla Market on Monday. After a deal was struck, the police carried out a raid at Raju Publication in Gali Shahtara and arrested Sibtey Hassan, the owner.

During interrogation, Sibtey allegedly told the police that he used to procure the content for publishing from a nearby printing press.

At his instance, the raid was conducted at 3025, Shahganj Chowk, in Ajmeri Gate and the owner of the press, Gulshan Ali, was arrested.

Fake tube-lights seized

Two persons allegedly engaged in manufacture and supply of duplicate tube-lights were arrested at Gokalpur village in North-East Delhi on Monday. A large number of tube-lights and other articles were recovered from their possession.
