Isolated heavy rain likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: The deep depression over southeast Bay moved westwards and intensified into a cyclonic storm and lies centred at 08-30 hours IST of 7th December at about 800 Kilometres east southeast of Chennai. It is likely to intensify further and move in westerly direction.

Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at many places over Telangana at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Rayalaseema, fell at a few places over coastal Karnataka, at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, rose at one or two places over south interior Karnataka and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal over Telangana, appreciably above normal over north interior Karnataka, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal over coastal Karnataka, at one or two places over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Forecast (Valid until Friday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Lakshadweep. \Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather well prevail over Andhra pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to commence over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry from 8th evening onwards.
