ANANTAPUR: Collector Y.V. Anuradha said 100 angawadi centres and 35 primary schools would be developed into model institutions with financial assistance from UNICEF. Talking to reporters along with Zilla Parishad Chairman G. Tippe Swamy on Wednesday, she said UNICEF had sanctioned Rs. 30.52 lakhs for the purpose, and it would be spent on basic infrastructure. The UNICEF also gave assistance for improving sanitation, providing drinking water and supply of fluoride testing kits. She said Rs. 10 lakhs was sanctioned for midday meal scheme.
