Posters ask villagers to join struggle

GUNTUR: About 30 members of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) conducted a grama sabha at Mannepalli thanda of Bollapalli mandal in Guntur district during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday and stuck 32 posters on the RTC bus.

In the second such incident in the last two months, the Maoists put red flags also on the bus in addition to sticking posters. On November 3 they had conducted a similar grama sabha at Yerragondapalem in Prakasam district and the police believe the same group conducted Tuesday night's sabha also.

On Wednesday they had stuck 18 posters on the same bus at the same village without any flag. The Maoists gave a call to villagers to join the local guerrilla army PLGA through the posters, asked all the Palnadu MLAs to resign from their along with all Congress elected representatives.

They also appealed to the people to take the erring/corrupt Government officers/staff to task at their village level, they asked people not to cooperate with the police, and declared that they would take revenge for the encounter of Vasu, Seshu, and Sreenu by the police at Vinukonda, and Adigoppula.
