dated December 9, 1955: Hire purchase for cars

Mrs. Tarakeshwari Sinha asked the Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr. T. T. Krishnamachari, in the Lok Sabha on December 7 whether the Government had considered introducing the hire-purchase system for motor cars with a view to increasing the demand for cars in the country. Mr. Krishnamachari replied: "I have not applied my mind to this aspect of the problem."
