KADAPA: All the 1,147 Panchayat Raj Ministerial employees in Kadapa district went on mass casual leave on Thursday stalling administration in Kadapa Zilla Parishad, three divisional and 12 sub-divisional offices and 51 mandal praja parishads in the district. Non-teaching staff of ZP, MPPs, ZP high schools also went on casual leave. They have been agitating for some days now demanding disbursement of their salaries under 010 Head of Account. Panchayat Raj Ministerial Employees Association district President Pratap Reddy and General Secretary Nagabhushanam demanded that the Government disburse salaries under the head of account. They threatened to launch an indefinite strike if the Government ignored their demand, that did not entail any financial implication. A future course of action would be formulated by the Association's State Committee on December 12, they said.
Health staff dharna
Contractual health workers staged dharna before the DMHO office demanding that the Government withdraw move to privatise the department in a phased manner. Andhra Pradesh Public Health and Medical Employees Union district President Siva Reddy and Secretary Bogadaiah demanded regularisation of services of contractual health workers.
