HUBLI: Director-General and Inspector-General of Police B.S. Sial has said that the Andhra Pradesh police are training the Anti-Naxalite Force (ANF) of the State. Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, Mr. Sial said that some members of the force were undergoing training and they in turn would impart training to the other members of the force. The Andhra Pradesh police had agreed to train any number of police personnel from Karnataka, he said. Mr. Sial said that members of the force were well equipped to face the naxalites. He said the department would shortly buy 200 bullet-proof jackets for the force. To a question, he said that there had been no surrender proposal from the naxalites so far. Although compared to other States the naxalite menace was comparatively less severe in the State, the police were taking all steps to meet the challenge, Mr.Sial said.
