NARSARAOPET: Four of the 10 accused in the murder of Telugu Desam Party worker Anji Babu here on November 26, surrendered to the police here soon after appearing before mediapersons at a place 18 km from here in the early hours of Thursday.

Investigating officer Gurazala Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijaya Singh said that all the four were arrested, while search was on for remaining six and all of them belonged to Vipparla village in Rompicherla mandal. The four were identified as Shaik Kale Saidulu, Shaik Mahboob Subhani, Shaik Peer Saheb, Kakinedi Koteswara Rao.

Shaik Kale Saidulu told the police that Anji Babu had killed his brother Ismail in 2003 and had planned to kill him also, hence he along with other cousins had fled the village and when Anji Babu allegedly began to come in their way in the fish tank business, they planned his murder.

The four gave a clean chit to Deputy Superintendent of Police Pruthvinarayana and Kasu Krishna Reddy's son Mahesh Reddy. They said it was their internal family dispute and they did not know both of them at any point of time.
