Cyclone may not hit Andhra coast

HYDERABAD: Cyclonic storm `Fanoos' changed its course slightly on Thursday and gave indications that it will touch the Tamil Nadu coast near Chennai and perhaps spare Andhra Pradesh.

The storm moved westwards and lay over the southeast and the adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal about 650 km of Chennai. According to a forecast, it is likely to intensify further and move in a westerly direction and touch the Tamil Nadu coast.
