Battling off the batting arena as well
The recent public spat between Ambati Rayadu, playing for Andhra Ranji team and Arjun Yadav, Hyderabad Ranji captain, might have shocked cricket lovers.
But, those keenly following their fortunes, say it was waiting to happen. Rayadu has had his run ins with umpires and also the Yadav brothers who run Hyderabad cricket - Shivlal and Rajesh in the past.
With Arjun Yadav being Shivlal 's son, the undercurrents are easily understood. Though well wishers wanted Rayadu to let his bat do the talking, pent up emotions came to the fore as the sledging went out of control. But both batsmen can consider themselves lucky to escape with minor punishments.
