Held on charge of stealing bus

VISAKHAPATNAM: The man who stole a private school bus was arrested on Thursday.

The bus which was parked at Gajuwaka was stolen on Tuesday night. On a tip off that the accused, S.K. Hussain, a native of Paderu, was trying to sell the tyres at Payakaraopeta, the Gajuwaka Police rushed to the place and arrested him.

The accused was said to have been involved in similar cases at Tadepalligudem.

Injured in accident

A motorcyclist was severely injured in a road accident at Scindia New Colony on Thursday. K. Suresh Babu, a resident of Railway New Colony, was going towards Scindia on his motorcycle with his friend, when their vehicle was hit by a lorry. Suresh Babu broke his leg in the accident while his friend had a miraculous escape. The lorry driver was taken into custody.
