NEW DELHI: The manager of the garments manufacturing unit where a dozen workers, including four women, were killed in a major fire that broke out at Vishwas Nagar in East Delhi on Wednesday, was arrested on Thursday. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to their relatives after post-mortem. According to the police, the unit manager M.K. Singh was arrested after it was found that gross negligence on his part led to the tragic incident. The police plan to arrest the unit supervisor and are also contemplating legal action against the owner of Grover and Sons, under which the factory was functioning. On Wednesday morning, about 100 labourers were working at the three-storey unit when a fire broke out in the garment-cleaning machine run on thinner.
