French turbine-maker launches India operations

BANGALORE: Aero, land and marine turbine-maker Turbomeca has launched its industrial operations here through its fully owned subsidiary Turbomeca Turbochargers Industrial India (TTII). It would assemble, sell and service industrial turbochargers used to boost large diesel engines essentially for railway applications and in particular Indian Railways. Inaugurating the new facility here recently, Turbomeca Chairman and CEO, Emeric d' Arcimoles, said it would source components and assemble and test Turbomeca HS 5800 NGT, next generation turbochargers, for domestic and international market.
