Special trains for Deepam festival

CHENNAI: Special trains will be operated from different places to Tiruvannamalai on Tuesday and Wednesday in connection with the Karthigai Deepam festival.

Tambaram-Tiruvannamalai-Tambaram special will leave Tambaram at 9-30 a.m. on Tuesday and arrive at Tiruvannamalai at 2 p.m. In the return direction, the train will start from Tiruvannamalai at 11 p.m. on Tuesday and reach Tambaram 7 a.m. the next day.

A special will leave Vellore at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and reach Tiruvannamalai in two and a half hours.

In the return direction, it will depart from Tiruvannamalai at 2-30 p.m.

Villupuram-Tiruvannamalai passenger (no. 846) will be extended upto Vellore. It will leave Villupuram at 5-30 p.m. on Tuesday and reach Vellore at 10-15 p.m. Another train (no. 841), Tiruvannamalai-Villupuram passenger, will start from Vellore at 4-30 a.m. on Wednesday and reach Villupuram at 8-45 a.m.

Meanwhile, special trains will be operated next week between Chennai Central and Kottayam. In the onward journey, the train will start from Chennai at 4 p.m. on Monday and reach Kottayam at 4 a.m. the next day.
