Run for peace tomorrow

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: It will be spirituality with a difference.

The Universal Peace Festival to be organised by Prajapita Brahmakumaris at Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Grounds on Sunday will be preceded by a "Run For Peace" from Vidhana Soudha to the grounds.

At the end of the run, a huge canvas banner will be displayed on which participants can share their messages for world peace.

The run takes place on Saturday morning.

Governor T.N. Chaturvedi will inaugurate the event and Additional Chief of Brahmakumaris Dadi Janaki will deliver a message. She has been propagating the ideals of the Brahmakumaris in many countries.

Explaining the background for the festival, the Brahmakumaris said the world will be a better and beautiful place to live in, if only everyone is peaceful.

On Saturday evening, a select group of citizens has been invited by the Governor for a special programme, "An evening with Dadi Janakai — the most stable mind in the world".

The Brahmakumaris have been active in other services such as health care, education and in operating a 24-hour help line for the distressed and depressed.
