TIRUPATI: The maiden meeting of the newly-formed advisory committee of Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV) here on Friday discussed in detail the introduction of several new job-oriented courses. Panel members -- K.V. Ramanathan, a professor at University of Washington, C. Bhaskaran, former Vice-Chancellor of NTR Health University, Manju Bhargavi, noted danseuse and Venkataramana, dean, school of Business Management, University of Hyderabad, besides Vice-chancellor, Veena Noble Dass, Rector TV Subba Rao and Registrar C. Rangappa -- discussed several innovative projects, the decisions on which were however reserved as they had to be placed before the Executive Council to get the nod. The plans discussed were the introduction of medical and para-medical courses, M.Sc (Nursing), B.Sc (Speech pathology) and Medical lab technology, besides starting of an Academy of Performing Arts. A University-Industry interaction was proposed to be held soon, while the experts suggested ways to improve personality development and soft skills in girls. Ms. Manju Bhargavi volunteered to train the girls in Kuchipudi dance form from next academic year.
