Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president K. Keshava Rao here on Friday said the party would not tolerate any dissident activity. He was issuing an indirect warning to those going to the media against the Government and Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy on some issues. Talking to presspersons here on Friday, he said he had come across reports that city MLAs would meet under the leadership of Khairatabad MLA, P. Janardhan Reddy. "As long as the meeting is held for a healthy democratic discussion, there is no problem. But, if it veers around dissident activity or gives such an indication, then the party would take a serious view of it.'' He was reacting to the observations of Mr. Janardhan Reddy on the Pothireddypadu head regulator and deputy Chief Minister's post. He said that Mr. Reddy had not raised the issue at the recent Congress Legislature Party meet at all contrary to the reports appearing in the media.
Dijvijay coming
He said in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs Digvijay Singh would be here to attend the NSUI State convention on December 20 and 21. Sonia birthday He would convene the meeting of the coordination committee of APCC and the Government. He would also supervise the arrangements being made for the AICC plenary. Ashok Gehlot, in-charge of AICC front organisations, will accompany. Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated a blood donation camp to mark the 59th birthday of All-India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi at Gandhi Bhavan. Party activists cut a cake to mark the event.
