LEGAL COURSE: Virasam leader G. Kalyana Rao being produced in court at Ongole on Friday.
ONGOLE : Virasam leader G. Kalyana Rao was produced in a munsif magistrate court here on Friday in a case relating to holding meeting without permission. It was stated that Mr. Kalyana Rao held a public meeting here without permission in 2000 to mark 17th anniversary of Viplava Rachayithala Sangham. The police filed a case against him under Sec 188 IPC. The magistrate adjourned the case to December 20. While being taken to the court, Mr. Kalyana Rao raised slogans like `Virasam Vardhillali.' He said there was no ban on Virasam in 2000 and that they took the permission of the Deputy Superintendent of Police for holding a meeting. But the police said that he had not obtained permission for the meeting.
