NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday gave the last opportunity to private schools here to come up with a mechanism for admission to nursery and primary classes to ensure fairness and transparency. A Division Bench of the Court comprising Justice Vijender Jain and Justice Rekha Sharma directed these schools to submit the proposal to the Court by December 19, the next date of hearing, failing which it would pass an appropriate order in the matter. Parents of three nursery children have come in an appeal against a Single-Judge order of the Court whereby Justice S.K. Kaul had in January 2003 rejected their petition seeking a direction to debar schools in the Capital from subjecting parents as well as their wards to interview for admissions to the two classes.
