NEW DELHI: Union Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Minister T.R. Baalu has approved road improvement works on some stretches in Madhya Pradesh at a total cost of about Rs. 1697.84 lakhs.

The approval has been granted for widening to two lanes in km 182 to 191 and km 216 to 231 of National Highway-59A (Betul-Indore-Nagpur Road) under National Highway division, Betul, at a cost of Rs. 1104.61 lakhs.

The share of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is Rs. 296.64 lakhs.
