Four arrested, jewels recovered

TAMBARAM :
A police team of the St. Thomas Mount district has arrested four men and recovered gold jewels, reported to be worth Rs. 2 lakhs.
The police said a team was formed after repeated incidents of women being tricked by a group of men and their gold jewels taken away, were reported.
The men used to approach women waiting at bus stands and caution them not to wear jewels while travelling by bus. They would offer to pack their jewels safely, but would take them away without the knowledge of their victims.
The arrested were identified as Abdul Rahim, Ghulam Mohammed, Subramani and Kuppusamy.
