One-way traffic

The city police have imposed one-way traffic movement from Madhapur arch (Road No. 36/10 junction) to Jubilee Hills check-post for six days from Saturday to facilitate ongoing road widening work. Vehicles would not be allowed to go from Jubilee Hills check-post side towards Madhapur arch. They have to take a detour at the check post and choose alternative routes to reach Madhapur arch, the police said. - Staff Reporter

Tyagaraja fete

A three-day `Tyagaraja Aradhanotsava' is being organised by the Jubilee Hills Public School from Friday on its premises.

The event had interschool competitions in classic music on Friday, in which 12 schools, including Obul Reddy Public School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's, SOS Village and Vignan Jyothi Public School from the city took part.

The winners for the solo vocal classical music competition in the descending order were Tejaswi of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Jubilee Hills, Sirishi of Jubilee Hills Public School and R. Vaishak of Army School, according to a press release. - Staff Reporter

`Snakes and

ladders'

The cellular service provider, Hutch, in association with Prasads today announced Snakes & Ladders, an innovative game for its subscribers to be played at Prasads IMAX on December 10 and 11. The game is to be played through SMS and a giant snakes and ladders board is being set up at the Prasads, according to a press release. - Staff Reporter

Prizes distributed

A.P. High Court judge Chalameswara Rao and district Collector Arvind Kumar were among the dignitaries to have graced the valedictory function of the week-long Children's Carnival organised by the Hyderabad Council of Human Welfare here on Thursday.

Competitions in games, health camps, educational and awareness programmes, cultural events and entertainment were the feature of the event. The dignitaries distributed prizes to the winners of the various contests at the Lal Bahudur Stadium, a press release said.
