HYDERABAD: An inter-regional cultural meet and handicrafts exhibition, organised by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, was held at the Shilpa Kala Vedika auditorium in Hitech City here on Friday. The national event, inaugurated by Information and Public Relations Minister Mohd. Ali Shabbir, saw teams from different parts of the country showcasing their traditional talent through a variety of cultural programmes. The handicraft exhibition, displaying fine arts talents of various regions of the country, provided an insight into the cultural heritage of the country as well. The Koya dance from Visakhapatnam, a welcome dance by children from Hyderabad, an Amar Jyoti dance by the Delhi team, a `Na Bhasaiya De' (Let the Boat Sail) dance by a team from Kolkata, Harvest dance by the Patna team, Kalbelia folk dance of Rajasthan, Haryanavilok nritya performance by children from Jammu and the Chintayami Jagadamba dance from Karnataka were among the main attractions of the event. Power Grid Chairman and Managing Director R.P Singh and a host of Central and State Government officials were among the packed audience.
