HYDERABAD: The latest and happening event covering electronics to automobiles, convenience gadgets to make your hectic life simple, alluring handicrafts and furniture to add a touch of elegance to your home and above all apparel and jewellery to lend style to your persona. They are all there under a single roof at The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show 2005 that opened to a good response at Hitex Exhibition Center, Madhapur, here on Friday. "We have the best and latest for the discerning consumer and to satisfy the finer tastes of the connoisseurs with a price range to suit different budgets," say the event managers from Icare Communications.
Breathtaking range
The Commissioner, Information & Public Relations Department, K.V.Ramanachary, who inaugurated the four-day event says, "It's a great show that came to the city after successful runs at Chennai, Coimbatore and inspires one to aim for such a lifestyle. The cosmopolitan city with people of different cultures would find the lifestyle show convenient to shop under one roof for a wide range of things." He made a special mention of Onyx handicrafts from Pakistan, handicrafts from Kenya, Thailand and silk sarees from RMKV, Chennai among those that impressed him. The inaugural saw a steady stream of visitors who went through different halls at a leisurely pace, admiring, inquiring and shopping. Automobile companies like Ford displayed their latest models, electronics giant Samsung brought out the latest in refrigerators with side doors for deep freezers, LCD TVs of different sizes, home theatre systems, washing machines, microwave ovens, etc.
Latest designs
The Italian designed Avi airconditioners, handy vacuum cleaners from Eureka Forbes, AMC cookware with German technology, a health product for cooking without oil and water, food waste disposer that could be installed under a kitchen sink for making kitchen waste into fine pieces and flushing down the drain, cooking ranges, roti and snack makers sans oil, electric tandoor, salad maker for cutting vegetables into various shapes in a jiffy, potato finger maker, etc, teflon coated electric rice cooker are some other useful products at the show. Hand-embroidered salwar suits and sarees from Punjab, brassware from Uttar Pradesh and ethnic craft from Kenya, Thailand, China and Italian porcelain are a treat for the eyes. That's not all. Health and fitness products, artefacts, tribal crafts, paintings, and a host of other products are on display. Just make it sure to be at Lifestyle Show before it concludes on December 12.
