NEDUMBASSERY: A Haj pilgrim had to cancel his pilgrimage at the last minute after he lost his passport. Shahul Hameed (58), a resident of Kothamangalam, arrived at the International Airport at Nedumbassery on Friday to board the early morning Air India flight, AI 691, as part of a 141-member private Haj group. He had already completed the emigration clearance formalities by the time he lost his passport. The missing passport could not be traced after repeated search following which he had to cancel the holy trip.
