commits suicide
The charred bodies of Battula Anjaneyulu (38), his wife Gouri Devi (33), and son Sai Kiran (11) were recovered by breaking open the doors by the relatives who rushed on noticing the flames. Circle Inspector Balla Lakshminarayana said a plastic can containing petrol was found in the room. Based on the complaint lodged by the house owner, a case was registered and the bodies sent for post mortem. However no suicide note was left behind. - Correspondent
CPI backs canal

Addressing a meeting of farmers at Nandyal on Saturday, he said canal widening would not violate the spirit of Bachawat award. He said the CPI had no dual policy as other parties were pursuing on irrigation projects.
