SHIMOGA: Students and staff of National Education Society (NES) took out a cycle jatha from their premises to Byarehalla, 12 km from here, on Saturday to create awareness among the people on environment protection. "Save environment which is ours" and "Don't pollute rivers" were some of the slogans that the cyclists raised during their jatha, which was organised by the Nature Awareness and Adventure Club. Police Inspector P.O. Shivkumar flagged off the jatha. Joint Secretary of the society S.V. Thimmaiah spoke.
