Srinagar: Two persons, including a militant, have been killed and a huge cache of arms and ammunition has been seized across Jammu and Kashmir since Saturday evening, official sources said. Late Saturday night, militants exploded an IED at Khanipora in Baramulla district when a convoy of security forces was passing through the area. There was no loss of life or property, but the blast sound was heard in a five-km radius. Unidentified gunmen shot dead Mohammad Amin Ganai, a butcher, at his shop at Chandilora near Tangmarg on Saturday evening. Security forces killed a militant during an encounter at Zangalpora Kulgam village in Anantnag district on Saturday evening. An AK rifle, one hand grenade, one pouch, three magazines and 20 rounds were seized from him. The security forces seized two hand grenades kept concealed in a milk container from a Matador van near the Grid station at Behama Chowk in Ganderbal on the outskirts of Srinagar. The driver was being questioned. In a joint search operation in the forest area of Shah Nagari in the frontier district of Kupwara, the police and the security forces seized five kg of explosives, six UBGL grenades, five hand grenades, one binocular, one pistol, six magazines, two wireless sets, one antenna and 130 rounds. In the Jammu region, the security forces seized four RPG rockets, four UBGLs, six grenades, three magazines and about 350 rounds from a militant hideout at Budhal in Rajouri district. UNI
