The official programme will be held at Ulyeri grama panchayat. A meeting of entrepreneurs and officials associated with the e-literacy campaign was held here on Monday to review the steps so far taken for the implementation of the project, Akshaya State coordinator T.K. The project will be beneficial for 5,83,264 households in the district. One member of a family will be trained for an hour and a half daily for 10 days. The fee for a person is Rs.120. The learner has to remit Rs.40 while the grama panchayat will contribute Rs.60 and block panchayat and district panchayat Rs.10 each. The training programme for the learners has been prepared after taking into consideration the suggestions of neo-computer literates of Malappuram district and incorporating the views of experts in the field of Information Technology.
