Coimbatore: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Coimbatore, has invited registrations for using accountless Internet. In a press release, the Principal General Manager said this was a unique facility in which the customers could access the Internet from any landline telephone through dial-up. The service was also made available at customers' doorstep.Subscriber with a basic landline phone should dial 172222 and enter the user name as netone and password netone. After gaining access, the subscriber should open the Internet explorer and type http://netonecbt.basnl.co.in for viewing the registration page. On it, the customer should click new registration icon for viewing the registration form. On this form, the subscriber should give his phone number with STD code as his user name. For example, the subscriber has to type 0422 2390800. The code could be chosen from the drop down box and in the adjacent box the telephone number should be typed. The password as desired could be typed but should be minimum three words and a maximum of eight characters. The password is case sensitive. After filling up the other details, the subscriber should click "I Agree" and there will be a confirmation message appearing on the screen. Then using the registered user name 0422-XXXXXXX and password, 172222 could be dialled for browsing the net. The usage charges would be reflected in the bill for the basic phone under a separate head and account usage report could be viewed by clicking "my account" in the registration page http://netonecbt.bsnl.co.in. Usage charge of 10 paise per minute would be included in the Bfone bill and PSTN call charges will be extra - 450 seconds pulse during peak hours and 900 seconds pulse during off-peak hours. Free Internet access of 15 hours would be provided for customers registering their names before January 31, 2006. Customers could change the password or unsubscribe from the service at any time in "My account" on the registration page http://netonecbt.bsnl.co.in.
