Thrissur: Sukumar Azhikode, social critic, will launch an indefinite fast from January 1 if Chief Minister Oommen Chandy does not ``honour his promise'' to solve the problems caused by the pig-breeding centre to the residents of Kainur. In a letter to the Chief Minister on Monday, Prof. Azhikode said that he hoped the Government would take steps for the closure of the pig-breeding centre as a Christmas gift to the residents of Kainur.
