Match abandoned

Chennai: Tamil Nadu and Karnataka secured one point each from their Ranji Trophy Elite `A' third round match at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. The final day had to abandoned without a ball being bowled due to wet ground conditions.

Tamil Nadu has five points and Karnataka three from three games. Tamil Nadu, now, travels to Nasik where it meets Maharashtra from December 17. Karnataka takes on Bengal at Mysore in its fourth round duel.

In all only 22.2 overs could be bowled during the entire match that was badly affected by inclement weather. — Special Correspondent
