Wooing people to aerial sports

Want to partake in adventure aerial sports?

Be at the Medical College Ground, Kozhikode, where the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board and the Malabar Aero Sports Society, Kozhikode, is organising adventure aerial sports at subsidised rate for youths from December 18 to 23.

There will be parasailing, paragliding and microlite gliding.

The facilities are being arranged with a view to introducing adventure sports to youths.

Exploring the possibilities of employment generation in this field and also the potential of adventure tourism are also among the aims of the programme, the organisers say.

Arrangements have been made to accommodate 400 youths.

Board vice-chairman Martin George and society's general secretary Safa Ahamed said that adventure aerial sports could instil in youth leadership qualities, discipline, national integration, a sense of unity, mental strength and nourish in them physical and mental efficiency.
