Government commended by KAT
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
The Karnataka Administrative Tribunal (KAT) has expressed its appreciation for the State Government which has implemented a direction.
On August 3, 2005, a KAT Bench comprising Chairman A.V. Srinivasa Reddy and Administrative Member P. Kotalinganagoud allowed an application by Mahanthappa Sulebhavi and set aside his transfer, saying that it was premature and there was no public interest involved in it.
Mr. Sulebhavi was Principal Chief Accounts Officer, Karnataka Neravari Nigam, Dharwad. On June 30, 2005, he was transferred to Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Limited (KBJNL). He was again transferred to the Bagalkot Zilla Panchayat.
The KAT allowed his petition and directed the Government to continue Mr. Sulebhavi's services for a minimum tenure as stipulated in the Government order of November 22, 2001.
