One killed, 18 hurt in accident

BANGALORE: One man was killed and 18 people were injured in an accident involving two lorries, a private bus and a Tempo near Maderihalli Gate, 13 km from Kolar, on Monday night.

The police gave the name of the dead as Prabhakar, 25, of Mallappanahalli in Mulbalgal taluk.

According to the police, Prabhakar was driving the lorry back to Kolar after unloading stones in Bangalore. Six labourers were travelling in the lorry.

The lorry hit a private bus head on and another lorry and a Tempo rammed the bus, the police added.
