FMC proposal to allow FIIs

MUMBAI: The Forward Markets Commission (FMC) will recommend to the Government to allow banks, mutual funds and foreign institutional investors to participate in the commodities futures market, FMC Chairman S. Sundareshan said here on Tuesday. The commission would, however, recommend that the entry should be initially confined to bullion and crude oil trade as agriculture commodities are sensitive, he added.
