Pakistan recalls Afridi

LAHORE: Pakistan has included all-rounder Shahid Afridi in a 16-man squad for its final three one-day internationals against England.

The Pakistan squad: Inzamam-ul-Haq, Salman Butt, Yasir Hameed, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Kamran Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Malik, Yasir Arafat, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Sami, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Mohammad Asif, Danish Kaneria, Arshad Khan.

Pietersen out

A rib injury has ruled Kevin Pietersen out of the rest of England's one-day series against Pakistan, the England and Wales Cricket Board announced in London on Tuesday.

The South African-born batsman has been advised rest for at least a month and should be fit for England's tour of India.

The ECB chief medical officer, Dr. Peter Gregory, said: ``Due to a series of events that aggravated a previous rib problem during practice and the first two one-day internationals Kevin is returning home and will play no further part in the one-day series. — Agencies
