Congress urged to stop efforts for SC categorisation

HYDERABAD : The Mala Mahanadu has urged the Congress to give up its efforts for empowering States to amend Article 341 for introducing categorisation of Scheduled Castes.

Y. Ramulu, State secretary, several city unit leaders and Mala Students' Association and Mala Employees' Association said in a statement on Tuesday that the organisation would hold State-wide `rasta roko' and `rail roko' demonstrations on December 15 and a `chalo Hyderabad' rally on January 20 to express its opposition to SC categorisation.
