Headway in Jessica murder case
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI:
The trial in the Jessica Lal murder case has reached the penultimate stage with the prosecution concluding its final argument and the defence beginning its final submission on Monday. R.K. Naseem, counsel for prime accused Manu Sharma, traced the contours of the case before the Additional Sessions Judge, S.L. Bhayana, in the Patiala House courts here.
In his submission, Mr. Naseem submitted that there was no case against his client as all the material witnesses had refused to support the prosecution's version of the case. He will continue his argument on Tuesday.
Special Public Prosecutor S.K. Saxena in his concluding submission said that the prosecution had been able to make out a foolproof case against the accused.
